David Benton


After ten years in the Yukon, David and his family moved into the Komoks territory to have just a little less winter. As a high school science teacher he continues to share and explore the interconnectedness of the natural world. Playing outside is essential to him, from fly fishing and gardening to surfing and skiing. Moving upwards seems to take priority though and 30 years of climbing around the world doesn’t seem to dim his passion. David has been writing about climbing experiences for about 25 years and is always happy to tell another story (even when his students roll their eyes).
