This community art project is an initiative of the Cumberland Bat Project, a research, education and community engagement program collaboration between the Cumberland Community Forest Society and the Comox Valley Conservation Partnership. Participants of the project will be provided with a bat to paint and decorate, to be hung in public view (on your house, fence, on a post in your garden, etc).

The goal is to bring community together (from a distance), learn about this species at risk in the Cumberland Forest, raise awareness and bust myths about bats, learn about habitat destruction and zoonotic diseases, and create a real world community gallery in the Village of Cumberland as a unique legacy for this interesting time.
